Let’s cook Tilapia Steak, another recipe for upping the level of the same old fried fish (Tilapia) present on the table every week. Colloquially, we call the dish Bistek Tilapia.

I love having fried Tilapia partnered with chopped onion and tomatoes, squeezed with Calamansi, and sprinkled with salt.

But the tendency of having the fish once, if not twice, every week is unavoidable, especially if it’s the only thing we can think of to fit the budget when everything else’s prices are on the rise.

As a result, the once exciting dish becomes bland when you get to have it frequently.

So, let’s prepare the fried Tilapia to the next level.

Ingredients you’ll need for Tilapia Steak

The Tilapia Steak or Bistek Tilapia is reasonably easy to prepare with simple ingredients.

Start by frying the fish. But, if you already have fried Tilapia leftovers, then this recipe will be more straightforward for you.

Aside from the fish itself, you’ll only need some oil and soy sauce, Calamansi aka calamondin orange, white or red onion, water, garlic powder, and ground black pepper. That’s it!
