When a pandemic hits the globe, like where we are right now, coupling it with rains (but hopefully no floods), there will be too many restrictions to move around.
Good thing we have the technology today.
Some would think that there’s no need to learn home cooking. Anyone can conveniently order a set of Beef Mami or any food online with an app or with a phone call while lying in bed.
That is a viable option.
But would it be nice to learn a new skill that not only saves you some dough but will give you a sense of achievement knowing that you’ve accomplished something that not everyone knows how to?
So, if you are sold to what I’m trying to say, here is a recipe from us that will teach you how to make five servings of Beef Mami.
The ingredients are relatively easy to find. The mainstays are, of course, beef, noodles (we use Goody egg noodles), Chinese cabbage aka Pechay Baguio, and carrots.
We’ll also prepare red and white onions, garlic, beef broth cube, star anise, salt, and ground black pepper.
Don’t forget the spring onions and hard-boiled eggs for garnishing.
Scroll further down for the complete and adjustable measurements of these ingredients according to the number of servings.

With easy-to-find ingredients, Hearty Tongue's Beef Mami recipe requires little effort to cook. It's enjoyable to have, especially during rainy or cold seasons.
Using the same pot or saucepan to cook the egg noodles, some would add water to save water and LPG. But I prefer to use a new set of water to boil for blanching.
